A Night Under the Stars

Praise the one who created every heavenly light!

His tender love for us continues on forever!

Psalm 136:7 The Passion Translation

Royal Mothers. Daughters, Granddaughters and Friends,

Welcome back to the adventures of The Lion and The Butterfly. Summer is upon us. This is your invitation to gather with your loved ones, sit under the stars in a comfy lawn chair and listen to A Royal Dance, now available in audio format. Be engulfed in Jerusha’s dance out of darkness into the beautiful Kingdom of unconditional love.

I, too, will enter the world of lst century Jerusalem as I prepare for the writing of the next book in this series, A Royal Inheritance, The Lion and The Butterfly.

May your life’s dance with King Jesus be awakened as you listen to A Royal Dance. I pray you and your loved ones enjoy your night under the stars with King Jesus and be embraced by His majestic love.

Below is a small excerpt from A Royal Dance.

That evening he found Jerusha in her room on her bed. The light in her emerald eyes gone. A darkness, a sadness, an almost pouty mouth greeted him.

“Jerusha, will you come for a walk with me in the garden? The stars are bright.” She shrugged, and he lifted her complacent body. Arms dangled at her sides. He carried her down the portico to the garden and set her feet on the blue and white tiles. A gentle breeze blew threw her long, black hair. The lamp-lit pathway cast shadows on her bare feet, so tiny for a ten-year-old.

…She closed the box. He felt her tiny, thin arms wrap around his neck and squeezed with all her might. The box fell to the ground. Jacob clung to her and savored the softness of her hair against his cheek. He gulped. He never wanted to let her go. Suddenly, she pushed away from him. He saw terror in her eyes.

“Father,” her voice quivered. “I can’t tell you.” She grabbed the robe and slipped off the bench. “I can’t tell you.” For a moment she closed her eyes and moved her head back and forth, then briefly glanced into his eyes. “I can’t.”

He saw the tears that threatened to overflow and watched her frantically duck under the bench and retrieve the box. “You will hate me forever. I can’t tell  you.” she squeaked and ran like a monster chased her, dust flying from under her feet. The butterflies flitted overhead. The tzitzits flopped in the wind. He longed to run and swoop his troubled daughter in his arms and never let her go.

If you are like Jerusha, ashamed and afraid to speak of your inner pain, please know that Jesus never rejects you. Neither will I. Contact me by email at [email protected] or call 620 255-6161.
